TMS is approved by the FDA for the treatment of depression in patient whose medication has not provided full relief. Clinical trials continue to study TMS in a variety of psychiatric and neurological disorders. We have found certain patients with Bipolar Depression and Anxiety Disorders (GAD – General Anxiety Disorder) have responded well to TMS treatments.

Neurological studies with TMS include strokes with depression, PTSD, Parkinson's Disease, spasticity in Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, Tinnitus, hallucinations, and negative symptoms of schizophrenia may also respond. Click Here To See a Comparison of TMS And ECT.

TMS and Treating Anxiety

We have found that TMS can help anxiety in two ways. Often, anxiety is a symptom of depression, and so successfully treating the depression results in reducing anxiety. If anxiety is primary, we have discovered a unique treatment approach of using TMS on the right side of the brain with a lower frequency approach.
